You’ve been in the moment. A conversation turns and you don’t know why. Someone says they’re fine and they aren’t. You walk away from a date, an interview, a meeting, and replay it for an hour trying to work out what you missed.
You weren’t taught this. It isn’t on any curriculum. Most people spend their whole lives guessing at it and calling the guess intuition.
The odd thing is that it’s trainable. It’s been trainable for forty years. It just never left the research labs.
Most tests ask how good you think you are. That’s a survey, not a measurement.
Socialiq shows you real photographs of real people and asks what you see. You’re either right or you’re wrong. That’s a score you didn’t give yourself.
Six regions. Hands and arms. Torso and posture. Head and neck. Face. Feet and legs. Orientation and space. You read people with all six. Most people are strong at one and blind at the others.
Your weakest region is the one that costs you. The test finds it. The training fixes that one first.
Minutes, not months. The research on this is unusual — the gains come fast.
We make two claims. Both come from published, peer-reviewed research.
Training works, and it works fast. Matsumoto & Hwang (2011) found a structured training session of roughly one hour improved emotion-recognition accuracy by about 30–40%. Not a course. One session.
Trained people improve more than untrained people. Döllinger and colleagues (2021) ran a randomised controlled trial. The trained group gained 26 points. The control group, who did nothing, still gained 12 — people improve a little just by paying attention. The difference between those numbers is what training is worth.

Plenty of people sell this skill badly. So here’s what we’ll never tell you.
We can’t teach you to detect lies. Reading emotions and spotting deception are different skills, and training the first does not give you the second. Anyone selling a lie-detector course is selling you a story.
There is no universal code. The same expression means different things on different people in different situations. We train accuracy, not certainty.
No mind reading. You’ll get better at noticing. You won’t become psychic.
